From Arcille, at the turn-off for Baccinello we head for the village with this name, which we cross climbing and descending along a road where the typical Maremma scenery gives way to the hills. On the left we see the profile of the village of Cana, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, which we skirt, (Km 19.2) heading for Vallerona. At the end of the climb another undulating section starts and at the next turn-off (Km 22.6) we turn right for Vallerona.
We ignore the next turn-off for Vallerona and go straight on towards Santa Caterina, which we cross before turning right (Km 27.2) towards Scansano.
At the turn-off for Usi (Km 32.5) we turn left, descending through the woods until we arrive at the little village, where we have a beautiful, boundless view. We continue towards Saturnia, ignoring the turn-off for Rocchette di Fazio (Km 40.8), to begin a long undulating stretch, that ends at a stop (Km 49.4) where we turn right for Saturnia. When we get near to the town we turn right towards the centre and end the leg in the main square.
