From the panoramic terrace of Rosignano we go straight on until we reach the centre following the "tutte le direzioni" (“all directions”) sign until we leave the village. At the STOP sign we turn right towards Castiglioncello and immediately left towards Rosignano Solvay, going downhill. After passing the Aurelia State Highway (Km 2.5) we turn left towards Vada, and here we follow the signs for Mazzanta. At Marina di Cecina (Km 14.8) immediately after the bridge we take a cycle track that follows the canal, towards Cecina. At Cecina we follow the signs first of all for the centre, then for the hospital, and then for Guardistallo. Once we reach Guardistallo (Km 27.4) we turn right for Volterra. At the bottom of the hill we turn right for Monteverdi, and then left for Ponteginori. From here (Km 41.8) we continue on the right towards Volterra, and then on the left towards Montecatini Val di Cecina. Once we arrive in the centre (Km 51.4) we cross the village and descend towards the valley. At the bottom of the hill we turn right and then left (Km 57.6), still heading for Volterra. When we reach the state highway we turn left, and near the town walls, left again. We skirt the walls until we arrive at Porta San Francesco, where we enter the town and end our journey in Piazza San Giovanni.
