Along provincial highway 18 which from Casino di Terra leads to Monteverdi, just before we arrive at Canneto, and after passing the river Sterza, there is a path that starts on the left, at an iron barrier. This is where we start from , keeping to the right at the first junction, while from there on we keep to the main road. We continue along the undulating path and, after passing a farm, we arrive at a wide path where we keep to the right. Soon we reach a clearing alongside the provincial highway from which a path climbs. We follow this path, leaving it shortly afterwards, proceeding towards the right. After about 10 minutes, we must take care because to our right a small path starts descending steeply through the woods. When we arrive at the valley floor we take a good path along the old mineral railway track and follow it until we arrive at a turn-off where we must go right through the woods, coming out to wade across the river Ritasso, following the signs. We climb up the opposite bank, continuing parallel with the river. Near another bridge, about a quarter of an hour away from the previous one, we cross the river and go straight on until we meet the Ritasso for the last time. Still following the signs, we pass the river and arrive near the la Pompa farm, where we follow the provincial highway that takes us back to our point of departure.
