The Maremma area is one of those places that wins the visitor over
immediately. In a natural environment of rare strength and beauty, we
discover the flavour of this countryside that is rich in history and
that contains traces of the ancient people that lived here.
Necropolises and villages clinging to the rock in the tuff area,
expanses of cultivated fields around the county town Grosseto and a
coast that looks after its nature, from Follonica as far as the Costa
d’Argento, are all able to stir up emotions during every season of the
year.
The
itineraries presented for this district are part of a collection that
the magazine “Trekking” together with the APT (Provincial Tourist
Authority) of the Tuscan Coast, has dedicated to the most beautiful
trekking routes in this area. A series of itineraries that will help
you discover lovely places and will introduce you to a district that
has great environmental and cultural appeal.
